SCARCE is a 33 year old Not for Profit Environmental Education Agency and Resource Rescue. We accept donations of of gently used school supplies and books of any kind with the goal of getting them back into the hands of kids who need them through their schools and other organizations. We have given out over 10 million books in 33 years. Often times folks donate books that are not meant for a classroom but are still quite readable and often very valuable. We sell them in our bookstore and on line to help support our mission. Thank you for helping the planet and kids.

Refunds are accepted if initiated within 30 days of purchase. If the mistake is ours we will cover the cost of the return shipping.

Shipping Terms

Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. Expedited shipping is available for an extra cost. We typically ship within 24 hours, but guarantee shipping in 1-2 business days, Monday - Friday. We ship in bubble mailers or boxes depending on the book.
