Project X: Strong Defences: Teaching Notes

In this cluster, the children are faced with an imminent attack from the evil Dr X and his robot army - find out what happens in the two part adventure The X-bots are Coming... and Attack of the X-bots! In Lone Wolf, Grey, the wolf cub, is lost in the forest - find out how he survives without his family to defend him. Also, find out more about human defences used throughout history in the two non fiction books, Under Attack and Strong Defences. Each book comes with notes for parents that highlight tricky words or concepts in the books, prompt questions and suggest a range of follow-up activities. The Strong Defences Guided Reading Notes provide step-by-step guided reading support for each book in the Strong Defences cluster, together with guidance about comprehension, assessment for learning and vocabulary enrichment. Hands-on follow-up activities and cross-curricular links are also provided for each book.
