Projective Geometry and Modern Algebra

This work serves as an introduction to the theory of projective geometry. Techniques and concepts of modern algebra are presented for their role in the study of projective geometry. Topics covered include: affine and projective planes; homogeneous co-ordinates; and Desargues' theorem.

The techniques and concepts of modern algebra are introduced for their natural role in the study of projectile geometry; groups appear as automorphism groups of configurations, division rings appear in the study of Desargues' theorem and the study of the independence of the seven axioms given for projectile geometry.
