Hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation. First published in 1886, this is the 1966 reprint edition. In which Geroge debates the merits of trade protection vs. free trade334 pages with Index, 5-1/2" X 7-3/4". The dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket shows wear with a closed tear at the lower left front corner, about 2 inches long, scrape mark on the spine panel, chipping to the corners and edges. Blue cloth covered boards with the title on the front cover and spine panel. Bump mark on the right edge, cuts into the cover boards, both front and back, about 1/2 inch, see photos. Former owner's name on the top edge of the first flyleaf page in blue ink, though no further writing besides that. Not a library discard. An acceptable reading copy. We also have 'A Perplexed Philosopher' listed too.
