About the Author

Irina Wiegand was born in Essen, Germany. She studied Political Science, Roman languages and International Relations at Ruhr-University of Bochum, the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen. Her research focuses on international security and terrorism. She is currently working on her PhD thesis at Jacobs University Bremen.
