Add to basket253pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Black cloth covered boards with red ink stamped titles and designs on the spine and front cover. With a pictorial dust jacket and in a plain stiff card slipcase with a printed paper title label on the side panel. Very good. The top edge of the text block is a little darkened, and there are a few minor stains on the bottom edge of the text block. The spine is very subtly rolled. In a very good dust jacket. Subtly browned and rubbed. There are numerous small open tears in the edges. The slipcase is in very good condition, with subtle age-toning, and several small stains. The edges are very gently bumped. A novel emphasizing the need for solidarity. Karel Capek is widely known as a science fiction author, who wrote long before science fiction became established as its own genre, and who helped popularize the term "robot" in his play, R.U. R. (Rossum's Universal Robots): A Play in Three Acts and an Epilogue.
