Add to basket253pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Gray cloth printed in red and black on the spine and front cover. Light yellow top stain. Very good plus, with a very minor slant to the spine, and marginal rubbing and bumping at the spine ends and corners of the covers. The dust jacket is in good condition, with multiple small losses from the edges, which have been backed with tape. The jacket is also mildly rubbed and creased at the edges. In a gray thin card slipcase, in very good condition, with light soiling and rubbing, and several indented scrapes on the side panel. The longest scrape measures 3/4" long. A novel emphasizing the need for solidarity. Karel Capek is widely known as a science fiction author, who wrote long before science fiction became established as its own genre, and who helped popularize the term "robot" in his play, R.U. R. (Rossum's Universal Robots): A Play in Three Acts and an Epilogue.
