Second impression of Arthur Findlay's extensive study of the origins and development of Christianity, interpreted through Spiritualism, psychical research, comparative religion, and the history of religious belief. Findlay examines the development of Christianity alongside earlier religious traditions, questioning conventional accounts of supernatural events and arguing that many religious experiences can be understood through psychic phenomena and communication with the spirit world. Findlay was a prominent British Spiritualist and psychical researcher, founder of the Glasgow Society for Psychical Research and the Quest Club, and a founding figure behind what became the Arthur Findlay College. The Psychic Stream is one of his largest and most ambitious works, extending to nearly 1,200 pages. Bound in light blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine. Frontispiece portrait captioned "A recent photograph of the author." It is in Very Good condition. Light shelf wear with some creasing to the spine head and tail, bumped corners, and slight discoloration to the edges of the text block.
