It is essential for Criminal Behaviour students to have specific content on the Canadian criminal justice system, Canadian research and Canadian crime. Criminal Behaviour and Psychology is very accessible, and has a focus on empirical research to support key theories and practice. Contemporary themes are also highlighted to give this book a truly Canadian perspective.
This textbook does an excellent job of focusing on Canadian crime, the Canadian criminal justice system and Canadian research. This is one field where it is next to impossible to teach without specific information on Canadian society, the criminal justice system, laws, legal precedents and research done in the context of Canadian culture.

This text offers students a greater understanding of the origins of crime than any other textbook I have come across in the field.
