Psychology is defined as the scientific study of a person’s behaviour. The subject matter of psychology is to study behaviour of humans, animals, children, adolescents, adults, consumers, military personnel, gifted children, slow learners in groups or all alone, whether their behaviour is desirable or undesirable, ethical or unethical, gregarious or antisocial. The psychology is growing like a tree expands its numerous branches. Educational Psychology is one of the branches of psychology which helps us to know learner very well in educational environment. Educational psychology is best defined as a science of education as it presents the application of theory and practice of psychology in the educational field. In our educational setup, it is largely concerned with furnish the wannabe as well as practising teachers with the indispensable skills and knowledge, attitude and interest and help the teachers to play their role as effective teachers. However, such a task is not as simple as others observe. For playing its role efficiently a path and manuscript in psychology and educational psychology must be capable of providing the teachers and other human resources concerned with the development , advancement and wellbeing of children all the fundamentals that are obliging to them in understanding their children or students in terms of changing individual differences, especially associated to their capabilities and potentialities, development and growth , creativity and creative talent ,lifestyle, welfare, approach, aptitude and other characteristics of personality. Teachers can thus help their students especially adolescents to know their problems time to time if needed they provide guidance and counselling to them so that they can over their problem to live a victorious life.
