Psychology of Peace : Forging a Path to Peace With Psychology and Buddhist Philosophy

Most people want peace—yet find themselves caught in cycles of stress, frustration, and emotional suffering they don’t fully understand. Why is lasting inner peace so difficult to achieve?

The Psychology of Peace offers a clear, grounded answer by exploring the inner workings of the human mind through the combined lens of modern psychology and Buddhist philosophy. Rather than relying on abstract spirituality or purely academic theory, this book bridges both worlds to provide practical insight into how thoughts, emotions, and ego-driven patterns shape our experience of reality.

Drawing from centuries of contemplative practice alongside established psychological principles, Michael Jaquish presents a framework for understanding:

• why we suffer
• how the mind creates illusion and attachment
• and how awareness can transform the way we think, feel, and act

Through this process, readers begin to see that peace is not something to be found externally—but something cultivated through clarity, mindfulness, and compassion.

The book also incorporates insights from Dexter Amend, Ph.D., a seasoned psychology professor, and Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche, a respected Tibetan Buddhist teacher, offering a rare integration of Western science and Eastern wisdom.

If you are seeking a deeper understanding of your mind—and a practical path toward greater clarity, balance, and inner peace—this book provides the tools to begin that journey.

Understand your mind. Transform your life.
