About the Author
Robert B. Greifinger, MD is a healthcare policy and quality management consultant. His work focuses on design, management, and quality improvement in correctional healthcare systems. He has extensive experience in the development and management of complex community and institutional healthcare programs, and strengths in the bridging of clinical and public policy interests.
Dr. Greifinger has published extensively in the area of correctional health care. He has been a frequent speaker on public policy, communicable disease control and quality management in corrections. Dr. Greifinger was the principal investigator for the Report to Congress on Seizing Public Health Opportunities through Correctional Health Care, published in 2002. He was Co-Editor of the International Journal of Prisoner Health from 2010 - 2016. Dr. Greifinger is the editor of Public Health Behind Bars: From Prisons to Communities (1st Edition, 2007; 2nd Edition, 2022), Springer, New York. He currently serves as the Federal Court-appointed medical monitor for the jails in Miami, Florida; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I. General Terms and Conditions
§ 1 Basic provisions
(1) The following terms and conditions apply to all contracts that you conclude with us as a provider (AHA-BUCH GmbH) via the Internet platforms AbeBooks and/or ZVAB. Unless otherwise agreed, the inclusion of any of your own terms and conditions used by you will be objected to

§ 5 Choice of law, place of performance, place of jurisdiction
(1) German law shall apply. In the case of consumers, this choice of law shall only apply insofar as this does not withdraw the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the state of the consumer's habitual residence (principle of favourability).
(2) The place of performance for all services arising from the existing business relationships with us as well as the place of jurisdiction is our registered office, insofar as you are not a consumer, but a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law. The same applies if you do not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or the EU or if the domicile or habitual residence is not known at the time the action is brought. The right to appeal to the court at another statutory place of jurisdiction remains unaffected by this.
(3) The provisions of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall expressly not apply.
