About the Author

Bob "Pritch" Pritchard, APR, Fellow PRSA, Captain, U.S. Navy (Retired) is a member of the public relations faculty in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma. Pritchard has more than 25 years experience as a U.S. Navy public affairs officer and more than 13 years experience as a public relations educator. He serves as the OU PRSSA chapter faculty adviser and advises Lindsey + Asp, the nationally affiliated, student-operated advertising and public relations rm in Gaylord College. He is also the 2011-2015 PRSSA national faculty adviser and a past chair of the Educators Academy. Stacey Smith, APR, Fellow PRSA, is Senior Counsel and Partner at Jackson Jackson & Wagner, a behavioral public relations and management consulting rm. With over 30 years of experience with an extensive range of clients, she specializes in assisting organizations in building strategic and trustworthy relationships with stakeholders. Smith coauthored Public Relations Practices, Managerial Case Studies and Problems and was also a contributing editor and writer for pr reporter from 1981 2002. She lectures frequently before management and public re- lations groups and has served as adjunct faculty at Antioch University, New England College and the University of New Hampshire.
