About the Author:
Paul Parsons studies mathematics at Cambridge, England, and astrophysics at the University of Wales College in Cardiff. He has a doctorate in cosmology from the University of Sussex in England and is now a professional science writer, journalist, and editor. He has written for many journals and newspapers, including Astronomy Now, Astronomy, Sky & Telescope, Nature, Science, New Scientist, The Guardian, and The Daily Telegraph, and his publications include The Deep-sky Observer's Year (2000). He is currently Editor of Astronomy Now magazine.
