Item description from seller

First edition. Folio. One leaf folded to make four pages. Slightly bumped at extremities, else a fine copy. Page [1], headed "Foreword," prints F. Scott's Fitzgerald's introductory statement, concluding in holograph facsimile of his signature: "Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald". The text is Fitzgerald's 'foreword' to: *Colonial and Historic Homes of Maryland* by Don Swann, which was published by The Etchcrafter's Art Guild in 1939. Page [2] is blank; Page [3], headed "Acknowledgements," prints a statement by Don Swann and Don Swann Jr.; and Page [4] is headed "Preface," printing a five-paragraph anonymous introduction which was written by Herbert R. O'Conor, Governor of the state of Maryland. The final published book [NOT PRESENT HERE] consisted of one hundred original etchings by Swann, with descriptive text by Don Swann, jr. Present here is ONLY the printed publisher's prospectus. A very uncommon publication. *OCLC* lists only two holdings of this separate publisher's prospectus issue [Tulsa and Huntington Library]; as well as two holdings of the published book, which includes the prospectus [Yale and Crystal Bridges Museum]. *Bruccoli* B22 Supplement (noting two variant issues, with no priority).…
