Based on a true story. This book is written to expose a church that elicits wrongful acts among its congregation: the House of Prayer in Atlanta, Georgia. It gives graphic and horrifying details of the realities of life inside a cult. The House of Prayer made headline news in 2001. Several networks, stations and people got involved which included but not limited to Dateline NBC, CNN, Fox News, Atlanta Journal Constitution, BBC, People Magazine, Bryant Gumbel, Bill O’Reilly, Sally Jessy Raphael and Nancy Grace.

Mathias Hardeman Sr. grew up as a native of Atlanta. He is a devoted loving father of 9 children. As a child, he faced many challenges and obstacles in the church he was born and raised in. During his teenage years, many of his dreams and aspirations were broken and shattered. Unaware that he was part of a "religious church cult," he was molded, branded and forced to conform to cruel and unsophisticated practices. In a distraught and brainwashed state, he continued to live under physical abuse and strict oppression. He later became spiritually empowered to break the chains of bondage which enslaved him for many years. He now serves as a spiritual leader, mentor, entrepreneur, producer, author, writer, singer and an advisor within his community. He also continues his journey as an advocate for those who are still trapped in various stages of bondage around the world.
