Mit Rudolf Proske belebt der Weissbooks Verlag eine deutsche Underground-Hoffnung, die Mitte der 90er-Jahre, nach genialischen Anf�ngen, mit dem Literaturbetrieb abgeschlossen hatte und Lkw-Fahrer wurde. Nur Eingeweihte kannten die wenigen ver�ffentlichten Romane (etwa den grandiosen 'Jack'), Erz�hlungen (den so schmalen wie brachialen Band 'Unversch�mt') und Gedichte (f�nf B�ndchen im Selbstverlag und unz�hlige Anthologie- und Zeitschriftenbeitr�ge). F�r sie war Proske der einzig ernstzunehmende Bukowski-Nachfahre. Nun hat er den Schrank durchw�hlt und seine besten lyrischen Werke aus der schlechten alten Malocher- und Abh�nger-Zeit zusammengestellt. Auch ein paar neue Gedichte hat er dazugesellt, und selbst die sind in jeder Hinsicht gute alte Schule. 'Ich kann mich erinnern, dass ich zwei B�cher von diesem Proske gelesen habe und dass ich sie mochte, und dass ich mich auch schon mal gefragt habe, was aus dem Mann wohl geworden ist und ob er was Besseres zu tun gefunden hat, als zu schreiben ...'
