The adventure continues in the second volume of Punk Taco Adventures! Punk Taco and the band have been kidnapped and brought to a planet in an unknown part of the universe that is being threatened by a giant so enormous, that our heroes are the size of ants in comparison. Despite their small size and the impossible odds they face together, Punk Taco must inspire new friends and allies to stand tall, join forces, and let their voices be heard, before the giant destroys their planet. Action, adventure, and humor abound in this tale of inner strength, unity, and friendship created by Adam Wallenta and his 10-year-old son, Makana.

Punk Taco is a lovable, sentient space-taco, who rocks out across the universe with his band of misfits spreading peace and love through their music, while battling evil bullies and helping those in need. It is a story about friendship, empathy and compassion and doing the right thing against impossible odds.

Adam Wallenta is a veteran author, illustrator, editor, publisher and educator with over 30 years of experience in comics, having worked with major publishers like Marvel, DC, and Skyhorse, as well as founding his own company, American Mule Entertainment. He co-created the official Public Enemy comic series with Chuck D and, alongside his wife Dr. Kanani K. M. Lee, developed the Adventures of Geo series to promote Earth sciences in schools worldwide. Adam is currently a senior editor at Papercutz/Mad Cave Studios and oversees a variety of graphic novels, including The Smurfs, Flash Gordon Adventures, Herobear and the Kid, Three Thieves and the Secret S.T.E.A.M. Society, among many others. His award-winning Punk Taco graphic novel series, created with his young son, Makana, has earned multiple honors, including the 2019 Ringo Award for Best Kids Comic. When he isn’t making comics or mentoring young artists, Adam can be found spending time with his family, building Lego, watching old movies, or doing his best to play sports with his kids, who are way more coordinated and athletic than he is.

Makana Wallenta co-created, co-wrote, and was the co-artist of Punk Taco when he was 5-years-old. (He’s 14 now!) In 2019, Punk Taco won a Ringo Award for Best Kids Comic or Graphic Novel at the Baltimore Comic Con. Makana is also the co-host of the Little Kids Big Kids YouTube channel. He is currently working on Punk Taco Volume 3 and 4 with his dad and little brother, while keeping up with his school responsibilities.

Gabriel Mayorga is an illustrator, inker, and writer and has worked as a comic artist, 2D animator, and a teacher for over twenty years. Gabriel has collaborated with Adam Wallenta on the continuing adventures of Punk Taco as well as an upcoming self-published graphic novel. Gabriel lives in Mexico City with his family.
