Purgatorium: The Element of Horror

Originally published in 2016, this new Anniversary Edition is fully re-edited, revised, and reinvigorated with a new cover and foreword exclusive to this edition.

The Elements Anthologies bring together genre authors and ask them to do something different: write a story outside of their normal genre. The tension this creates, the inevitable creep of their chosen genre into the genre of the anthology, this is where the magic happens.

Move away from the safety of the light and into the place where something is waiting in the shadows.

Ten genre authors were challenged to step into the dark and deliver their own personal vision of horror. The result? Eleven stories that twist, bleed, and linger long after the final page.

A dark entity stalks the woman who once escaped it in Carousel Eyes.

A child’s curiosity curdles into something dangerous in Dubious Pickles.

Unrequited love turns sharp, hungry, and lethal in Victim of Love.

And in Pieces, a Frankenstein monster knows how to replace a body, but not how to fix a mind that is already rotting from within.
