396 pages (complete). A heavy, charming copy. Rebound in quarter leather with original boards. No publication date with some confusion as to the issue of the "New Edition" with 1892 and 1909 both quoted. We have taken the later date for caution. The boards are much worn and scuffed and marked. They are resolutely genteel. The leathered corners, edges and spine are scuffed and a little marked. They are otherwise sound. The page-edged have been gilded (this is rusted). Within, the contents are worn, marked from storage. However, in general the contents are agreeable and comfortable. They are clear, mild-mannered, elegant, venerable, durably amenable. fk.
