“In setting forth the biblical doctrine of conversion, we have much to learn from the Puritans.”―Albert N. Martin Jesus Christ died so that His people would “be holy and without blemish.” Yet, many churches in our day are marred by easy-believism, rampant sin, and cheap grace. Is it possible that our gospel preaching has failed to emphasize conversion rightly? The Puritans preached that conversion is not merely a profession of faith―it is a supernatural change of heart that results in a Godward life. In this volume, three Puritan giants present classic teaching that will help you better understand the necessary response to the gospel: • Sin: The Greatest Evil by Samuel Bolton • The Conversion of a Sinner by Nathaniel Vincent • The One Thing Necessary by Thomas Watson Take up and read these insightful sermons to learn about nature of true conversion!

About the Author
Samuel Bolton Bolton was born in 1606 and educated at Cambridge. He pastored three different churches in London, where his ministry was a blessing to many souls. He was nominated as one of the additional members of the Westminster Assembly. He was later chosen as master of Christ's College at Cambridge University. It is said that he studied not only to preach the word but to live as he preached. The Banner of Truth has published a paperback by him entitled The True Bounds of Christian Freedom. Nathaniel Vincent Vincent was a prodigy. He entered university at the age of eleven, earning an MA degree by the age of eighteen. He was one of the ejected ministers of 1662 but returned to London after the fire of 1666 and preached to large multitudes in the city’s ruins. He spent many years in prison and under persecution for his nonconformity. He died at fifty-three on June 21, 1697, and was buried in Bunhill Fields in London, the nonconformists’ burial ground. Thomas Watson Watson needs no introduction to lovers of the Puritans. Known for his simple and accessible style, Watson is one of the most read and beloved of all the Puritan writers and preachers. Many of his works have been reprinted by Soli Deo Gloria or the Banner of Truth.
