Synopsis
If someone compared you to a sheep, how would you feel? We "count sheep," act "sheepish," and "flock" to anything new and intriguing. During more than a dozen years of experience in tending sheep on their Minnesota “hobby farm,” Ken and Ardie Johnson discovered astounding similarities between people and sheep. "Pursuing Life With a Shepherd’s Heart" captures touching and hilarious stories about Ken’s adventures as an amateur shepherd caring for wayward, helpless, foolish sheep – clearly illustrating, like it or not, we really are like sheep, as the Bible asserts. These experiences with the habits and foibles of the sometimes wayward members of his flock helped Ken and his family to better understand their own sheep-like traits, as well as learn how to become more effective shepherds – at home, in the workplace, in the community, and in all kinds of relationships. In this book Ken shares the rich insights he gained from his wooly friends, all of which abound in practical application for everyday living. In addition, the real-life truths they observed from the sheep taught Ken and his family much about their relationship with God -- principles that can benefit all of us.
