On 24 February 2022, Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He declared a ‘special military operation’, expecting a quick victory. Dr. Roger Cirillo (USA), Lieutenant Colonel US Army (retired) and later the Association of the US Army. He has lectured on junior officer courses on war and military history. He has published extensively and was the research-author for American Armies and Battlefields in Europe: World War II (2016).
