The Pycnogonida collected by the Royal Research Ships 'Discovery', 'Discovery II' and 'William Scoresby' during the years 1925-31 far exceed in number and variety those obtained by any previous Antarctic Expedition. Sixty-five species are represented, all, with two exceptions, from the Western Antarctic and sub-Antarctic area. Of these fifteen species are described as new. One genus is new and two (Pallene and Nymphopsis) are new to the area in question. New taxa: Colossendeis tortipalpis n. sp., Colossendeis scoresbii n. sp., Nymphon paucidens n. sp., Nymphon clarencei n. sp., Nymphon neumayri n. sp., Nymphon bouvieri n. sp., Nymphon multidens n. sp., Nymphon angolense n. sp., Heteronymphon n. gen., Heteronymphon kempi n. sp., Pallene margarita n. sp., Ammothea gigantea n. sp., Ammothea tetrapora n. sp., Ammothea longispina n. sp., Ammothea calmani n. sp., Ammothea stylirostris n. sp., Nymphopsis denticulata n. sp. 138 pp., 75 figs, hardcover 4 [modern binding].
