Signs of having been bound in a larger volume of offprints and then disbound. Nice copy. $45 "A pyranometer measures sky radiation. This example is one of several that were built and tested by Charles Greeley Abbot and Loyal B. Aldrich at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. Abbot joined the SAO in 1895 and later served as director of the organization. Aldrich moved to Washington in 1907 to work with Abbot; in time he too would lead the SAO."--National Museum of American History website.
