The catalogue includes history of the murals done especially for the building by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco and Rufino Tamayo, as well as the murals originally conceived for other precincts by Roberto Montenegro, Jorge González Camarena and Manuel Rodriguez Lozano (now part of the museum) and the historical context of each mural, presenting sketches, documents and hemerographic material related to their creation. En esta exposición nos muestra un movimiento de suma importancia en Mexico: El Muralismo en todas sus etapas y estilos, revela el desarrollo de 50 años en la plástica mexicana.
