Add to basketAmsterdam, Jansson and Weyerstraet,1665. 12mo,492pp+index. Full contemporary vellum. Engraved title shows a statue of a triumphant mounted Caesar in a classical setting. There is also a woodcut profile of Caesar from a coin. 5 wood engravings illustrating fortifications and bridge-building which reference Fra Giovanni Giocondo [Joannes Jucundus]. 3 folding maps. Vellum has patina but is tight. The catchword "cer" at the foot of the verso of the 4th prelim does not lead to anything.so we're probably missing a leaf or two in the prelims.
