Scuffed, soiled cvoers with dings and scoffs along edges, corners strongly bumped. Collector bookplate, owner name, end pages browned, pages tanned with light foxing (earlier edition - Smith I:135) Ashbridge is being included in recent English literature anthologies - her journal is a very readable account of her life in the early 18th century, including the years as an indentured servant for a cruel master, her life with an abusive husband, and her convincement to Quakerism. She became a well-known itinerant minister.
