Quality of Life

What determines the quality of a life?

Quality of Life is a contemplative work of nonfiction structured as a train journey across 39 chapters. As three travelers share a compartment and move from station to station, their conversations deepen into an exploration of attention, responsibility, contentment, suffering, wealth, and relationships—the unseen habits that quietly shape how we live.

Blending narrative storytelling with philosophical dialogue, the book offers a form of practical spirituality grounded in everyday experience. Through questions of mindfulness, ethics, and emotional clarity, the travelers examine what it means to live a meaningful life amid distraction and uncertainty—with the candor that emerges between strangers who know they will soon part.

There is no dogma here, and no promise of quick answers. The journey unfolds through thoughtful conversation and personal stories, gradually untangling our assumptions about happiness, success, and fulfillment, and inviting readers into their own reflection, personal growth, and inner transformation.

At its heart lies a simple proposition: the quality of life depends upon the quality of the mind. Cultivating awareness, wisdom, and compassion may be the most enduring investment we can make.
