Quantum Technology: From qubits to computing, communications, security, and the Discovery Economy (English Edition)

Quantum Technology is opening new possibilities in computing, communications, sensing, and scientific discovery, with the potential to reshape how we process information, secure communications, and understand the physical world. Its impact could extend across cybersecurity, telecommunications, healthcare, finance, national security, and digital infrastructure.

This book explains qubits, superposition, entanglement, Quantum algorithms, communication networks, and post-Quantum security. Connecting scientific foundations with real-world applications, it examines emerging opportunities, technological limitations, and the strategic choices facing organizations and governments.

The book introduces the Quantum Transformation Pyramid and Quantum Readiness Gap to help leaders assess preparedness, prioritize investments, manage risks, and develop responsible Quantum strategies. It encourages readers to begin preparing through informed decisions today, while recognizing that different Quantum Technologies will mature at different rates.

Govind Pathak is a technology leader, global bestselling author, systems thinker, and strategic advisor with over three decades of multi-technology, multi-geography, and multi-role experience. His professional journey spans telecommunications, enterprise architecture, system integration, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centers, cybersecurity, IoT, 5G/6G, and emerging Quantum technologies. He has worked across India, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, taking on diverse responsibilities across technology strategy, solution architecture, engineering, consulting, business development, customer engagement, and leadership. This breadth of experience has shaped his ability to view technology not in isolation, but as part of larger business, societal, and national ecosystems.Dr. Pathak is an accomplished author whose work spans technology, science, strategy, and the future of digital society. One of his books became a global Amazon bestseller in Metaphysics and was named a Finalist in the Science category of the 2026 International Book Awards, organized by American Book Fest. His current interests lie at the convergence of artificial intelligence, AI governance, Quantum technologies, post-Quantum cybersecurity, next-generation networks, digital infrastructure, and technology sovereignty. Through his books, speaking engagements, and industry contributions, he explores not only what emerging technologies can achieve, but also how they can be responsibly engineered, governed, secured, and scaled.Dr. Pathak holds a degree in electronics and communication engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi; a master of business administration (MBA) from IMT Ghaziabad; and has been conferred an honorary doctorate in artificial intelligence. His broader philosophy is rooted in systems thinking, connecting technology with strategy, governance, resilience, human judgment, and long-term societal impact.
