Synopsis
This book presents the statistical theory of complex wave scattering and quantum transport in classically chaotic and disordered systems. The novel approach is a maximum-entropy viewpoint, which reveals the statistical regularity of the phenomena in a natural way. The pedagogical presentation of quantum scattering theory, linear response theory, and information theory make the related chapters suitable for graduate courses on the subject. The book contains many worked-through exercises.
