Fate unites a samurai from feudal Japan, fleeing from his country, and a farmer from northern Europe, trying to make a new life. Both establish a friendship where they will mutually learn and help each other sharing their views on the world. Both suffer from a near and impossible love: the samurai for the queen he served, and the farmer for a physician who restored his health. Of mortals and love tis the hardship we must all endure.
