FAIR Handsome volume [6"x9"], with dark boards and red spine. Everything here is intact and perfectly readable, but the book is cocked. Still, the binding is tight with many pages of ads at end. A beautiful frontispiece of Amelia Rives. This is the first novel of Amelia Rives, the Richmond-born writer of the Civil War era who married the Russian Prince Troubetskoy.
