Those which are quick to cook you will find also quite simple to prepare. On the other hand, those which are simple to prepare are not necessarily also quick to cook; indeed, some of these may require more than one hour to cook, or even two hours. However, in these cases, the amount of work actually involved in the cooking is often minimal, probably involving no more than putting a casserole in the oven or placing a heavy pan over low heat and leaving it there till the food inside is ready. Because such cooking requires little or practically no attention, the total consumption of energy in these cases is often less than in others where the preparation and cooking.".
