The book is divided into two parts: Civil proceedings covering causes of action and remedies: damages, awards of compensation for loss, distress and discomfort and injunctions; county court procedure - with practical examples for preparation of documents, in particular for emergency orders and Criminal proceedings - covering the Protection from Eviction Act (PEA) 1977 and Protection from Harassment Act (PHA) 1997, as well as offences which a landlord can commit under the Criminal Law Act (CLA) 1977

Andrew Arden QC is Head of Arden Chambers, London. Martin Partington CBE is a Law Commissioner and Professor of Law at the University of Bristol. David Carter and Andrew Dymond are barristers practising from Arden Chambers Andrew Arden QC is the General Editor of the Encyclopedia of Housing Law, the Housing Law Reports, and the Journal of Housing Law, of which David Carter and Andrew Dymond are both editors. Andrew Arden QC and Martin Partington CBE are authors of Arden & Partington's Housing Law. David Carter is a co-author of Housing and Human Rights Law.
