Quilted Legacy

Jean Hovarth’s tragic death leaves a trail of grief and guilt for her family that is already under stress. The young driver of the car that hit her is deeply wounded by guilt and grief. Jean had a philosophy that life should be lived with love and joy. An avid quilter, she left a half finished unique art quilt behind. Her daughter-in-law and protégé quilter decided to carefully finish the quilt to honor her loved mother-in-law. Jean’s philosophy is portrayed in the art of the quilt. Between the quilt and a very crusty character of a neighbor, healing takes place, ultimately by Jean’s legacy of love and joy to all.

David Freligh imbues his characters and stories with his own experiences of tragedy and triumph-and of evil and forgiveness. He is a retired private investigator. Freligh lives with his wife of fifty years in Iowa. He is the author of "A Quilted Legacy," "Bridges to New Beginnings and the soon to be published titles of "A Mother's Last Gift" and "Theresa's Blessings."
