Ginny Eckley learned to sew at the tender age of 9, when the mayors wife of Mt.Healthy, Ohio taught her to sew a dress by hand. Her childhood was spent hanging out at the local hobby shop.
Graduating from the University of HOuston, with a degree in Fine Arts, Ginny worked for a designer making custom clothing. One of their clients was ZZ Top!
Ginny spent years creating in both the fiber arts and glass arts. She has designed large commissions for both retail and residential clients.
Currently, Ginny travels teaching to quilt guilds and art groups. In 1997 she taught in 7 cities in Japan. This April, her new book, Fabric Painting will be published.
