Learn how to organize your scraps into the perfect quilter's pantry!
- Complete, approachable guide for quilters to organize their scrap fabric using a methodical and easy method
- Quilt patterns and designs for 4-patches, 9-patches, rectangles, half-square triangles, Flying Geese, Snowballs, and more
- Includes pull-out labels on perforated sticker paper so you can label your newly organized stash
- Tips and techniques for thrift quilting, QR codes to companion videos, and more
If you're a quilter, you know that you inevitably have short lengths of full fabric widths as well as smaller leftover pieces from creating countless projects, all thrown aside into a growing pile of unorganized leftovers. The beauty is those scrap pieces can be tamed for re-use!
Inside this book, author SusanClaire Mayfield shares her organizational model for all your extra quilting fabric. SusanClaire's students have found that scraps suddenly become so much more tempting to work with after they have set up what she calls her "Leftovers Pantry."
Once your scraps are methodically, intentionally organized and stored, you'll no longer find yourself digging through piles of mismatched yardage searching for the perfect scraps. Instead, you'll have more time to spend on designing and quilting and can easily create the scrappy quilt blocks described in this book, including 4-patches, 9-patches, rectangles, half-square triangles, Flying Geese, and Snowballs.
SusanClaire walks you through setting up your pantry piece by piece as well as what to do with larger fabric yardage stacks. Perforated pullout sticker labels are provided along with QR codes that link her organizational content to her Gourmet Quilter YouTube videos for each section, both demonstrating her highly efficient organization method and offering additional tips for thrifty quilting.
Achieve scrap organization for patchwork gratification, with Quilter's Scrap Pantry!

About the Author
SusanClaire Mayfield has been quilting since the seventies and was sewing as a child encouraged by her mum before then. When asked to teach at a local quilting store, SusanClaire decided to prepare her own patterns for the class. The designs and patterns were popular, and quilters asked for more — and so the pattern designing began. She has many designs now and her own studio in her home in the country, in New Zealand, and loves it! At one point in her journey, she prepared a Quilters version of a 3-course fabric meal with appropriate commentary and good humor — and so the Gourmet Quilter (because quilting is delicious!) was born. SusanClaire has developed the Gourmet Quilter theme since then and has exhibited in NZ, UK, and now USA. She has presented and tutored and still finds time to design and make quilts. Her Quilting Studio is open to visitors by appointment, and you are made to feel most welcome.
