Marston and Cunningham feel quilting (as well as the quilt itself) should be taken seriously. These experienced quilters, authors of many books on quilt making, noticed the lack of information on planning and designing the cable, fan, feather, and other techniques that so wonderfully complete and enhance any quilt. Over 76 color photos show traditional quilts, often made by the authors, along with samples of early quilts. Full-size figures can be copied or traced.
