About the Author

Dr. Rashad Khalifa was a well known author and scholar of the Quran. He was a Ph.D. chemist on the roster of technical assistance experts of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). His articles have appeared in the Scientific American, Quarterly Review of the Canadian Council of the Study of Religion, and several popular magazines in the Middle East, notably Egypt's Akher Saa. Unlike many other translators of the Quran, Dr. Khalifa was a native speaker of Arabic, which contributes to the clarity and accuracy of his translation.
