The Qur'an Made Easy: Reading, Understanding, and Loving the Book (3)

How to meet the Book.

Every Muslim prayer contains the Qur'an. Every Ramadan is built around it. Every life shaped by Islam returns to it across decades. But for a new Muslim, the Book itself can feel impenetrable. Arabic. One hundred and fourteen chapters. Six thousand verses arranged from longest to shortest.

The Qur'an Made Easy is a step-by-step companion for your first year with the Book. It covers how the Qur'an came down, how it was preserved, how to choose a translation, how to read Al-Fatiha, how to memorise the short surahs, and how to meet the verses that challenge you.

Let the Book meet you where you are.

Second edition, revised and reset. Book Three of The New Muslim Companion - a series of twenty books for the new Muslim, the returning Muslim, and the curious reader: plain English, no Arabic assumed, honest about where scholars differ.

Ali Imam is a physician, scholar, and reader. He writes for the new Muslim the way he would have wanted to be written for: clearly, warmly, and without pretension.
