A Quranic Perspective on Creation, Evolution & Intelligent Design: The Scientific Miracles of the Quran

The Holy Quran is the final heavenly message to all people at all times, carries within its verses the living miracles that prove it is the Truth, as in the verse: {We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this [the Quran] is the truth. Revealed in the seventh century, during a time when human comprehension of the cosmos was a blend of mythical narratives, Greek philosophical ideas, and the creation account from the Book of Genesis.

Divine messages are rightly not intended to bring about a scientific leap, therefore, they were revealed in a manner that did not oppose the scientific views of their respective times. However, Science is dynamic and continually advancing. The Quran, being composed of fixed text, is required to address each generation according to their extent of knowledge, even when such knowledge is incorrect. It should do so in a way that remains relevant and meaningful to people of early times. Then, the same verses, with their fixed text, shall be able to address future generations when their knowledge has advanced. How does the Quran achieve this?

This book will answer this question and will show that the scientific verses have been able to withstand the test of time and remained relevant and insightful throughout the various stages of scientific advances.

It will take you on a journey led by the scientific verses of the Quran, through the creation of the universe starting from the Big Bang. Chapter One discusses the debate surrounding the 'Scientific Miracles of the Quran.' It then introduces the concept of 'Interim Interpretations'. Chapter Two lays out the foundation for approaching these verses, as derived from the Quran.
Chapters Three to Five explore the verses related to the creation of al-Insan (mankind), with a particular focus on the creation of Adam (as). Chapters Six and Seven discuss the First Cell, DNA and the creation timeline. Chapter 8 addresses the subject of the Two Seas. Chapter Nine discusses counterarguments and highlights the differences between the Quran and the books that preceded it.

In Part 2, Chapter 10 introduces the concept of Guided Evolution and Intelligent Design. Chapters 11 to 22 look into the creation and characteristics of the universe, namely the expansion of the universe, the collapse of a star when it reaches the end of its life, black holes, the seven skies, the multi-dimensional universe, the six days of creation, the day of resurrection, the big bang, death of a galaxy, and others. This section also addresses controversial topics, such as which was created first, earth or the sky? The setting of the sun in a warm spring, the splitting of the moon, and was the world created in 6 or 8 days?
