About the Author
Judy Young remembers showing her grandmother a poem she had written when she was about ten years old. Her grandmother encouraged her to keepwriting, and Judy did! Judy is the author of over twenty award-winningchildren's fiction, poetry and nonfiction books. Her books are usedextensively in elementary classrooms. One of Judy's most cherishedhonors was attending performances in which her book, R is for Rhyme, A Poetry Alphabet, was choreographed by the Tanner Creative Dance Program and Children'sDance Theatre at the University of Utah for their 58thAnnualPerformance. In addition to writing, Judy specializes in school visitsand writing workshops for students nationwide and is a frequent speakerfor professional educational organizations. Judy resides in Mink Creek,ID.
