Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First American edition bound in teal cloth with gold lettering. Black & white illustrations by Masakazu Kuwata. A Near Fine copy in a Very Good dust jacket. The book has some light dust spotting to the top edge of the page block. The dust jacket has tiny frays to the front corners and along the head of the spine. There is a 1/4" closed tear to top edge of front panel. A name inked in small letters at the rear cover's inside flap. Tanning to the jacket's spine and mild tanning to the rear panel. A collection of stories, two of which, "Rashomon" and "In A Grove" were the source for the classic film, "Rashomon".
