Designed for environmental professionals, facility managers, and compliance staff who need fast answers in the field — not a 500-page textbook. This pocket-sized guide covers the full scope of RCRA generator requirements in plain English, organized so you can find what you need in seconds.
WHAT’S INSIDE:
→ Generator Categories — VSQG, SQG, and LQG thresholds, requirements, and obligations compared side by side. Know exactly what applies to your facility.
→ Waste Determination Process — Step-by-step walkthrough of how to determine if your waste is hazardous. From solid waste definition through characteristic and listed waste identification.
→ Complete D-Code Reference — All 40 toxicity characteristic contaminants with TCLP regulatory levels in clean, scannable tables. Metals, pesticides, VOCs, and semi-VOCs organized by category.
→ Listed Waste Codes — F-list solvents, F-list metal finishing, K-list source-specific wastes, P-list acutely hazardous, and U-list toxic chemicals with common codes highlighted.
→ Accumulation Rules — Central accumulation area and satellite accumulation area requirements, time limits, quantity limits, and what to do when SAA limits are exceeded.
→ Container Management — Condition requirements, open/closed rules, inspection frequencies, and secondary containment standards by generator category.
→ Manifest Procedures — Uniform manifest requirements, e-Manifest system, generator responsibilities, required contents, and Exception Report deadlines.
→ Emergency Procedures — LQG contingency plan requirements, SQG quick reference plans, and immediate response actions with NRC reporting triggers.
→ Common Violations — The top 10 most frequently cited violations and what inspectors look for, plus a penalty framework overview.
→ Bonus Chapters — Used oil management, special waste streams (paint, antifreeze, aerosols, e-waste, pharmaceuticals), DOT hazmat shipping reference, and waste minimization guidance.
→ Quick Reference Tables — Generator category comparison chart, key deadlines, abbreviation glossary, and EPA regional office contacts.
→ Fill-In Emergency Contact Pages — Space to record your facility-specific emergency coordinators, agencies, and waste management contacts.
BUILT FOR THE FIELD:
Compact 6” x 9” format fits in a desk drawer, truck console, or cargo pocket. Every page covers one complete topic — no flipping back and forth to find what you need. Tables and reference data are formatted for fast scanning under pressure.
IDEAL FOR:
→ EHS managers and compliance officers
→ Facility managers at industrial and manufacturing sites
→ Environmental consultants managing multiple sites
→ New environmental professionals learning RCRA
→ HAZWOPER and RCRA training course students
→ Anyone preparing for an EPA or state inspection

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
