RDS-1 Operations Manual (Paperback or Softback)

The RDS-1 was created as a prototype for evaluation of a complex, portable, turnkey, video / audio recording studio for today's Concert Video Producers, TV Producers, industrial Media departments, high end Videographer, or well-funded Band that wants to produce their own video segments. The 24 track 24 bit hard disk recording deck from Mackie takes the 24 tracks from the 2 on board retractable Mackie 1604 VLZ mixing boards and cleanly records them onto a removable computer hard disk. This unit also provides equipment to direct a 6 video camera crew including video screens, preview and program out switchers and an intercom system. Even though major pieces of equipment like the Makie 24/96 hard disk recorder are out of production there are a number of even better recorders that can take its place when you decide to make your own recording console. At the age of 12 he got his first chance to work on a real gasoline engine that was sitting outside for many years. This 1 1/2 horsepower motor was used to turn a washing machine and had a kick start. After tearing it down completely and cleaning it up, he got it running well, and a mechanic was born!
Later at age 12 he would learn another skill that would be even more challenging, electronic assembly and design. He found a large vacuum tube electronics home study course his father had left him in the attic along with a TV kit he attempted to get built. After spending days reading the course and building the TV set he realized there were major parts missing from the kit like the expensive cathode ray tube (CRT) and he soon gave up hopes of ever finishing the project. Still, he spent many hours over the years working on electronic projects like stereos, record players, power supplies, home wiring, automotive wiring, aircraft avionics installations, and vacuum tube projects as well.Currently he is writing another Technical book on making your own vacuum tube amp for your PC or Mac computer.
