N.D., (ca 1911), 62pp. Wrps. G+. Depew, (1834-1928), was a United States Senator from New York, and also served as Secretary of State of New York. He was general counsel for many railroad interests, including those of Cornelius Vanderbilt. He campaigned for Lincoln, and knew every president thereafter, during his lifetime, pretty much on a first name basis. He was involved in many social and historical societies, sat on the boards of many corporations, and was a sought after orator. These are seven of his speeches delivered in 1911, and an article by Arthur Wallace Dunn on Depew's retirement from the Senate.
