Edition of 1762 of this interesting work by the french churchman and moralist Nicolas-Charles Trublet (1697-1770). Trublet is best known for his problems with Boltaire, of whom he critiqued the work Henriade. The writing, with a series of reflexions about eloquence, was published as following of "Essais sur divers sujets de litterature et de morale, à laquelle on a joint les reflexions du meme auteur sur l'Eloquence en general et sur celle de la Chaire en particulier" but is complete in itself.
