Covering a brief history of the control of savages, a brief description of the Aiyu-Sen [Guard Line], punitive ex- peditions against the savages, statistical tables on the nu- mber of aboriginal villages, police stations, schools, dama- ges inflicted by the savages. With ethnological maps & sup- plemental data, essays on the Taiyal, Saisett, Ami, Bunun, Tsuou, Piyuma, Tsarisen, Paiwan & Yami peoples, along with many great & early photos of these mostly vanished people.
