An early Department of the Interior typescript report on an expedition through the newly acquired lands of Arctic Canada, with ninety-six original mounted photographs. Written by Major L.T. Burwash, a mining engineer who later became involved in the search for Franklin's missing ships. "Account of a trip on a Hudson's Bay Co. supply ship from Mackenzie delta eastward to Hudson Bay, wintering on King William Island; and of the author's activities collecting for the Canadian government 'economic, geological, botanical, anthropological, and other information en route.'
